Last year in the month of June I went for the Sar pass trek. The Sar Pass is in the state of Himachal Pradesh. This trek is one of the most beautiful treks in Himalaya. Hiking lovers must visit the place once in a lifetime.
From the month of April to June is the best time for this trek. I booked 5 days 4-night package from Thrillophilia.com. It cost me around 7000.you can ask for a discount if you are travelling in a group. To get a complete itinerary for this trek click here.
The trek starts from Kasol Base camp. You must reach to Kasol base camp on your own and after that everything is included in the package.
I flew from Hyderabad to Delhi and from Delhi to Kasol by Bus. It takes around 12 to 13 hours.
Some bus services are not good at this route. It is advisable to check the bus traveller review before booking.
In Itinerary it was mentioned as Moderate Level trek but for a beginner like me it was tough especially day 4 snow trekking was little difficult for me as the snow started melting after sunrise. Minimum level of fitness is required to complete this trek as it not so easy to climb 13,500 feet.
The trek guides were experienced, food and camp site were also good. If you are not able to carry your bags while trekking some villagers can help you. They take extra charges per bag.
In the Itinerary they have mentioned things to carry, don’t miss anything from the list.
For me, it was an amazing experience. The trek will be very tiring but after 5 to 6 hours long trek when you will reach your destination you can feel some sense of achievement. I have never been so close to nature.
